MDM Construction LLC was contracted as a General Contractor to complete this new building project for the North Dakota army National Guard. The new building would serve as storage and a classroom for the National Guard explosive demolition trainings. The building included a gravel parking lot and large earth berm to protect the structure from any blasting hazards.
The building was constructed out of masonry walls and wood trusses. Building was constructed from the ground up including excavation and foundation work. Other work items included hydro seeding, roofing, electrical, garage doors installation, and finishes. Storm Water Prevention and site maintenance were considered heavily for this project’s day to day issue. The project location posed challenges being roughly 20 miles away from the closest town with no water available.
